Daily Huber
Privacy Policy

Daily Huber is a personalized news and social feed aggregator. This policy explains what information the app collects, how that information is used, and how Google and YouTube user data is handled when you choose to connect a Google account.
Information We Collect
- Account information: when you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored as password hashes.
- Feed preferences: we store the news sources, custom RSS or website feeds, keyword filters, and social account handles you choose to add.
- Google account information: if you connect YouTube, we receive your Google email address, OAuth access token, OAuth refresh token when Google provides one, token expiration time, and granted OAuth scope.
- YouTube data: if you connect YouTube, we use the YouTube Data API with the youtube.readonly permission to read your YouTube subscriptions so Daily Huber can show recent videos from channels you subscribe to.
- Technical information: the app may receive normal server request information, such as IP address, browser information, request path, and timestamps, through hosting and server logs.
How We Use Information
- We use account information to create your account, sign you in, and keep your preferences associated with your account.
- We use feed preferences to personalize the news, RSS, website, and social content shown in your Daily Huber feed.
- We use Google and YouTube data only to provide the user-facing YouTube subscription feed that you choose to connect in the app.
- We use technical information to operate, debug, secure, and improve the app.
Google User Data
- Daily Huber requests the minimum Google OAuth access needed for the connected YouTube feature: openid, email, and youtube.readonly.
- Daily Huber does not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.
- Daily Huber does not transfer Google user data to third parties except when necessary to operate or secure the app, comply with law, or with your consent as part of a feature you choose to use.
- Daily Huber's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How We Share Information
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We may share information with service providers that host, store, secure, or operate the app for us. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services.
- We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, security, and integrity of Daily Huber or its users.
Data Retention and Deletion
- We keep account information and saved preferences while your account remains active or as needed to provide the app.
- You can disconnect YouTube in the app settings. When you disconnect, Daily Huber deletes the stored Google connection for your account and makes a best-effort request to revoke the token with Google.
- To request account deletion or deletion of personal information, contact the developer using the support email listed for Daily Huber on the Google OAuth consent screen.
Security
- We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
- No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
- Daily Huber is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
- We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we use Google user data or other personal information, we will update this page and request any consent required by applicable policy or law.
